How to Manage domains in cPanel

The new "Domains" section in cPanel integrates Redirects, Subdomains, and Addon Domains into a single interface, streamlining domain management. Here’s how to access and use it:

  1. Log into cPanel.
  2. Navigate to the Domains section.
  3. Click on "Domains" to access the management interface.

  1. Create a New Domain/Subdomain

    • Create Addon Domain/Subdomain:

    • Domain Management:

      • Create a new site
      • Create email addresses
      • Change the document root
      • Manage DNS records
      • Modify redirects
      • Remove domains
    • Access Management Interface:

      • Go to cPanel -> Domains -> Manage.
      • Click on the domain you wish to edit.
    • Document Root:

      • View and manage root folders.
      • Access File Manager for a domain by clicking the Home icon.
    • Domain Information:

      • View details about subdomains, redirects, and document root.
      • Access the root folder in File Manager by clicking the Home icon.
    • Redirects To:

      • Manage and check domain redirects.
      • Navigate to cPanel -> Domains -> Redirects to handle this.
    • Sorting:

      • Sort items in Domain, Document Root, and Redirects To columns alphabetically by clicking the respective column names.
    • Create Email:

      • Add email addresses to your domain.
    • Show/Hide Associated Subdomains:

      • Use the gear icon to show or hide subdomains created automatically.
    • Modify Zones:

      • Create, edit, and delete DNS records using Zone Editor.
    • Update the Domain:

      • Change the document root for the domain. Note: This cannot be done for domains sharing the root with the main domain.
    • Remove the Domain:

      • Delete a domain by clicking the Remove Domain button. Ensure you back up your data before deletion. Removing a domain does not delete mail folders in the public_html folder, but the email accounts will be deleted.
